ElectriXwest Agencies Ltd., formerly AltaSouth Agencies is an Independent Manufactures Agent that has been in business for over 15 years. ElectriXwest recently announced it has merged with JDM Marketing Group, now having offices in Calgary and Edmonton. With over 30 years each of sales, sale management and marketing experience in the electrical industry, ElectriXwest’s principals Sam Culin and Brian Thompson have taken the company in new and exciting directions.

Sam Culin

Sam’s career in sales and marketing covers 30 years, 27 years in the electrical industry, with the last 23 years in Alberta. Over his career Sam has been honoured with several awards. While with WH Brady he was the three time Canadian Territory Manager of the year as well as North American Territory Manager of the year. With Shawflex Wire and Cable, Sam was the Sales Manager of the year. In his last role before purchasing AltaSouth Agencies (now ElectriXwest) Sam was the Product Manager of the year at Westburne Electric Alberta.

Bruce Simpson

Bruce Simpson joined ElectriXwest in 2010 and brings over 30 years of industry experience. He has spent time doing start-up and commissioning, working in an engineering office and in the sales side of the electrical and instrumentation business. He was Canadian Salesman of the year twice while with Weidmuller. He has sat on international steeringcommittees to assist in product development to meet industry needs. He also held the role of Process Industry Manager North America while at Weidmuller. He has a solid understanding of the application of electronics in the Process Industry.

Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson has over 30 years experience in the Electrical Industry his experience working for An Electrical Contractor as a Purchasing Agent and working in Sales with a number of Electrical distributors prepared him well for entering the Agency business over 20 years ago. Starting with the Purchase of Almond and Associates (renamed BRT Agencies) and Parkside Manufacturing (a Lighting Control Panel Manufacturer) in 1991 he merged with Prolux Lighting in 1997 staying until 2006 when he embarked on a new path purchasing JDM Marketing Group.

Carrie Fish

Carrie Fish has over 20 years experience working in the Electrical Industry working with BRT Agencies, Prolux Lighting and JDM Marketing. Starting out in Inside Sales her meticulous attention to detail also had her doing the warrantee work for Various Emergency Lighting Manufacturers as well as doing the Control Panel wiring for Parkside Manufacturing ( subsidiary of BRT Agencies )Handling Customer service and Quotations for over 20 years has established her as one of the top ranked people in the Agency Business.
